Dog Walking / Pet Sitting


Greetings everyone! It’s your trainer here, Ryan Herbst with some exciting news! First off I just want to wish everyone a happy holidays and upcoming new year. I hope you are all enjoying warm winter we have been having. Now you have no excuse to not be out there getting you and your dog some much needed exercise as well as practicing a bit of your newly acquired training skills. Obedience Matters is very excited to announce that we will now be offering dog sitting and dog walking services throughout the Main line as well as Chester and Delaware County. Although there is no shortage of dog walking/ pet sitting companies or “professionals’, over the years countless training have remarked of the shortage of reliable, knowledgeable and skilled handlers/caretakers. This was Thus I have a put together a small team of individuals that I know you will be thrilled to have caring for your pets when you are away or busy at work. All dog walkers, runners, and sitters at Obedience Matters offer the following qualifications.

- Passed thorough background checks

- Given strong recommendations by at least two previous well known employers

- Insured and bonded -Trained and tested by Obedience Matters behavioral expert and training director, Ryan Herbst, in their understanding of basic dog behavior/body language as well as safe on leash handling

- Certified in pet first aid and CPR by the American Red Cross

Lastly, you can rest assure that your dog walker/sitter is a genuine dog lover. This is an absolute prerequisite for being an Obedience Matters walker and or sitter. Bios of our team are coming soon!

 

Services & Rates:

For any of our walks/runs, your dog will be taken to its normal bathroom spots, given plenty of affection, can be treat trained, engaged in a game of fetch or tug, and or made to follow any specific instructions or training routines that you have been working to make routine or habitual.

*Special Discounts apply to those who refer a friend or neighbor in the same building or block.

 

30 Minute walk:

1 - 2 days per week -$17

3 -5 days per week- $15

 

1 hour walk or 30 minute run:

1-2 days per week - $28

3-5 days per week- $25

 

Overnight Stay:

Depending on your preference and or your pets’ needs, this service can be arranged so that your sitter stays at your home or their own. Having a sitter stay at your own home gives your home added security and also can be great for dogs that become anxious and restless when leaving the comfort of their own home. Included in this service is a 30 minute late evening walk as well as one 60 minute walk/outdoor play the morning after the evening stay. The price for this very popular service is $75. If you choose to have your dog stay at your sitter’s home, there is an additional $10- $15 dollar pick up or drop off fee.
